Some of our SIM-PANEL Game Controllers incorporate control systems based on the proven and highly reliable Arduino architecture, and thus require the associated Arduino drivers to be pre-installed on your computer. While most newer Windows 10 installations, and many recently updated Windows 7, 8.0 and 8.1 installations are preinstalled with the required Arduino drivers, some older, most notably Windows 7 systems, may not be, and thus the drivers will need to be installed onto your computer by completing these very simple steps...
To get started, create a folder on your computer named "Arduino Driver". (C:\Arduino Driver)
Download and extract the Arduino Driver Setup File (arduino.inf) into your newly created folder. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD.
Plug in your SIM-PANEL and wait for Windows to begin its driver installation process. If the installer does not launch automatically, open the Windows Device Manager by typing "device manager" into the Windows Search Box and select from the search results above (see image below)
Locate "Other devices" and expand to reveal the "SIM-PANEL" or "Arduino Leonardo" device as applicable (see image below). Select and highlight the device and RIGHT-CLICK, then select "Update Driver Software".
From the next screen, choose "Browse my computer for driver software".
Click the Browse... button. Navigate to the newly created folder whereby you have saved the downloaded Arduino Driver Setup file (arduino.inf). Select the folder and click OK, then click Next.
You may encounter a Windows Security notification stating that the driver can't be verified. Don't be concerned (it's perfectly safe), simply select "Install this driver software anyway".
After a few moments, a window dialog should appear notifying you that the wizard has finished installing the driver software for the device. Select the Close button.
That's it! Your new SIM-PANEL should be ready to go. We invite you to reference the included QUICK START GUIDE for additional setup instructions.
